Hahndorf & Victor Harbor Experience

Itinerary:

Departing from the City, stop at Mt. Lofty Summit for panoramic views over the city of Adelaide (a great photo opportunity) then on to the Adelaide Hills township of Hahndorf. You have free time to browse the historic township with a fascinating array of shops and curiosities. There are numerous eateries to purchase morning tea (own cost). Next depart Hahndorf and travel through the picturesque countryside via Goolwa (a popular tourist destination near the mouth of the Murray River and formerly an important river port in the mid 1850's), (optional highlight: on Sunday, Wednesday and during School Holidays - Catch the Cockle Train from Goolwa to Victor Harbor - own cost). Stop briefly at Port Elliot Lookout for a photo opportunity with views along the southern coast, then into Victor Harbor a former whaling and shipping port with time to stop and purchase lunch (own cost), hop aboard the Horse Drawn Tram across to Granite Island (own cost) and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful seaside town. Next stop at McLaren Vale for free time to either visit wineries in the main street, the Almond Train or Meadlows Chocolates before returning to Adelaide.
